Give Online

The truth is, God doesn’t need our money, because if He did, it would disqualify Him from being God. He requires us to give money not for His sake, but for ours. We give our first to Him because we believe that He is the source of our provision.

If there’s one area of our life where our faith is most tested, it’s in our finances. For the average American, our dollars represent provision. “With my dollars, I can ___________ (you fill in the blank)”. That’s the beauty of tithing and giving. The money we have is not ours to begin with, it’s all His. God asks us to be faithful in our tithing (giving 10% of our income to the local church) because it’s a statement of trust in Him.

The Bible, which is the guide map for our life’s journey, clearly shows us that provision is not found in a monetary denomination, employer, bank account, retirement account, or any person. Our provision is solely in the Creator of the Universe who holds all things together (Colossians 1.16). He is the vine, and we are the branches meaning He will provide everything we need if we will simply trust Him. Giving financially to the local church out of obedience is a great statement of faith.
